September 11 – 19, 2010 Hungary is to be HELEXPO’s Honoured Country this year, at the 75th Thessaloniki International Fair (75th TIF), an institution revived in recent years with successful shows paying homage to Italy (2008) and India (2009). There was an extensive discussion between the Hungarian Ambassador, Mr. Joshef Toth, and the commercial Attaché, Mr. Akos Nemeth, with HELEXPO’s CEO, Mr. Themis Kartsiotis on this year’s plan concerning Hungary’s participation in TIF with the biggest business mission in the event’s history as well as the important shows to be held. It should be noted that Hungaryis one of the 27 countries HELEXPO has been active in through representatives, n recent years, aiming at attracting both exhibitors and trade visitors to events organised by HELEXPO. Mr.Kartsiotis presented to the Hungarian Ambassador the organisational framework of a revived Multi-Exhibition – Multi-Conference – Multi-Event, with the successful homage shows of previous years as well as four new shows concerning Woman, Ethnic Greece, Franchise and Cycling. More Specifically: - The Woman Homage Show concerns fashion, daily life, vocational opportunities, motherhood, health, beauty and well-being products and not only: Contemporary modern women, women professionals, mothers, women partners, women friends, women regardless of their age who experience their daily life and have desires and needs, women who look after themselves and others, women who struggle and achieve their goals – every woman will definitely find something of interest to her at this special homage show on Women, the driving force of society and life itself; - The Homage Show «New Entrepreneurs and Franchise Days in Northern Greece» lasts for three days (17-19 September) and provides updated information to anyone interested in current business opportunities in the Franchise market on financing means and market trends, as well as advantages and potential traps of franchising; - the Homage Show to Cycling focuses on both racing and conventional bikes and accessories, cyclers’ attire, footwear and protective gear, dietary supplements, energy products, cycling-sports events, cycling tourism and includes a host of parallel events on cycling; - Of particular interest is the promotion of local traditional products at the Homage Show «Ethnic Greece», organised with the cooperation of all Chambers of the country. Greece highlights the ‘identity’ of its various territories and promotes their special features and products. As for international participants, a dynamic presence is expected from Italy, India and other important partners of Greece. «Hungary has been participating in TIF since 1927; its trade missions have been dynamic in recent years and this is why HELEXPO has decided to honour this country.
