Qualified Tourist Guide of Greece - President of the European Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (FEG)
She was born and lives in the city of Thessaloniki. Since her graduation and accreditation as an official tourist guide of Greece from the state vocational School for Tourist Guides in Thessaloniki (Ministry of Tourism), she has been working for the last 30 years with private or group tours across Greece, specialised in cultural, archaeological, educational, cruise, MICE and religious tours, as well as tours for people with learning difficulties and people with motor, sight and hearing impairments.
She is an accredited tourist guide trainer for both the WFTGA (World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations) and FEG (European Federation of Tourist Guide Associations) and she’s been delivering courses and seminars for tourist guides in Greece and in other countries abroad.
She has been from 2000-2018 alternatively the President, Secretary General and Member of Ex.Co. in the Panellenic Tourist Guide Federation (POXEN). As a FEG expert she has developed in 2013-2015 together with many other European partners the EU Leonardo project, which led to a FEG & ENAT course and certification named «T-GUIDE», on guiding people with learning difficulties, for which she’s been a certified trainer since 2016. From 2005-2008 she’s been involved as an expert guide on behalf of Greece (ELOT) in the CEN European Working Group developing and creating the European Standard EN15565:2008 for the minimum training and qualifications for tourist guides in Europe.
