Manos Konsolas


Deputy Minister of Tourism, Member of the Dodecanese of New Democracy political party, Associate Professor in School of Humanities of the Aegean University


He is the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Member of the Dodecanese of New Democracy, the liberal-conservative center-right political party in Greece.

On March 18, 2015, he assumed, for the first time, the position and duties of the Tourism Department of the New Democracy. On November 18, 2016, he resigned the post and duties of the Department of Tourism of the New Democracy, by decision of the President of the ND, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

He is also an Associate Professor in School of Humanities of the Aegean University. With his valuable experience in education, he has developed a valuable teaching, administrative, research and writing activity in Higher Education. He is a research fellow at institutes and government institutions and a member of international scientific and educational associations.

During his term as Member of the Dodecanese from 2012 to 2019, he was elected Secretary of the Standing Committee on Education, Secretary of the Special Permanent Committee on Greeks Abroad and was a member of the Standing Committee on Production and Trade, of the Special Standing Committee on Road Safety, of the Standing Committee on Education Affairs, of the Special Committee on Research and Technology, the Committee on Parliamentary Library, of the National Defense Committee and the Committee on Economic Affairs. He also served as President of Youth Parliament.
