Asia's emerging tourism is growing rapidly. The Asians, travel all year long and mostly spend more. The Asian market is characterized by its size, distance and, most importantly, by culture, both at the personal and business level.
Europe is one of the preferred destinations for Asian travelers, but for many reasons Greece has so far failed to gain the market share, it seems to be entitled to from its popularity surveys among Asian travelers.
Thus, the aim of the PHILOXENIA Conference is to explore the trends and the interest of this new tourism market for Greece in order to facilitate procedures and set the conditions that are necessary for the tourist flows from Asian countries.
