As a part of its role in supporting Greek production and the primary sector, TIF-HELEXPO is organising a new event that will focus on the sector of fresh fruit and vegetables.

The International Trade Show for Fruit and Vegetables will be held in Thessaloniki from 23 to 25 April 2015, bearing the name FRESKON, and will serve as a specialised, unique exhibition event in the Balkans and South-Eastern Mediterranean.

The decision of TIF-HELEXPO to organise FRESKON was announced during the World Union of Wholesale Markets (WUWM) Conference currently being held in Thessaloniki. 

This sector is of vital importance for Greece and other South-Eastern Mediterranean countries, as it preserves and creates jobs while significantly contributing to the GDP growth of these countries.

The goal of the trade show will be to promote the products of Greek production and the broader region, to provide information on developments in the sector, to create the conditions for concluding commercial contacts and transactions and for exploring new markets, as well as to link research with production. 

The event will address companies involved in the packaging and transport of fruit and vegetables, sector importers and exporters, retailers, supermarket chains and transport companies. It will feature exhibits such as fresh fruit and vegetables, machinery, packaging and standardisation materials, as well as transport and logistics companies, quality control laboratories, organisations and agencies of the sector.

The goal of TIF-HELEXPO is for this event to become established as the most important specialised trade show in the Balkans and South-Eastern Mediterranean and to attract exhibitors and visitors from international markets and all branches of the industry (standardisation and marketing of fruit and vegetables, packaging machinery and equipment, logistics) in Greece, the Balkans and South-Eastern Mediterranean countries.
