The bar was set even higher at this year’s event

The Deputy Minister of Interior (Macedonia-Thrace), Mr Stathis Konstantinidis, characterised bakery as a dynamic sector that enters our homes on a daily basis, while inaugurating the 11th Artozyma International Exhibition for Bakery, Confectionery, Machinery, Equipment, and Ready-Made Products earlier today. Referring to organiser TIF-HELEXPO, he stressed that it sets the bar higher and goes beyond it every time, which is also the case with this year’s Artozyma.

For his part, in a video message, the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Mr Lefteris Avgenakis, noted that Artozyma rightly draws the lights and the lively interest of the world of bakery and confectionery, while he stressed that the powerful name “TIF-HELEXPO” signing off on this event, is one of the greatest guarantees for its success.

The Governor of Region of Central Macedonia, Mr Apostolos Tzitzikostas, pointed out that the 11th Artozyma is being organised after a major distinction, with the partnership of the Region; namely, the National Baking Team taking 7th place in the world competition, while he predicted that in the next competition it will be in the top three. He also congratulated TIF-HELEXPO, which has managed to lift up the institution, along with all of Thessaloniki and Macedonia.

The Mayor of Thessaloniki, Mr Stelios Angeloudis, underlined the close relationship between bread and food in general, with the multiculturalism and the colourful history of Thessaloniki, stressing that “we grew up on bread from our neighbourhood”, and he invited the sector stakeholders to participate more dynamically in the Municipality’s Nutrition Council.

“This year’s Artozyma is the best ever,” noted the President of the Hellenic Federation of Bakers, Mr Michalis Mousios, stressing that Artozyma is the celebration of the sector in Thessaloniki and Macedonia; the joy of bakers. He even gave a brief overview of the history of the event.

The CEO of TIF-HELEXPO, Dr Kyriakos Pozrikidis, stressed that this year’s Artozyma is very important, as it was separated from Detrop and stood on its own feet, with the help of all the bodies, the exhibitors who trusted it, and its visitors.
