Freskon: From 11 to 13 April with Poland as the Honoured Country

200 exhibitors from 15 countries This year's congress of the

International Trade Show for Fruit & Vegetables is dedicated to apricots

This year’s Freskon International Trade Show for Fruit & Vegetables will be held from 11 to 13 April at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre, with Poland as the Honoured Country (a major European fruit and vegetable producer), separate exhibition entries from both the productive and the commercial sectors, as well as with a side event programme of international standards.

Honoured Country Poland will participate with 15 enterprises that will take over Pavilion 13, while in Freskon will run programme for hosted buyers from 33 countries, which is even broader than at last year’s event. Freskon’s international character is also highlighted by the fact that it has attracted businesses from 15 countries.

Furthermore, for the eighth year, TIF-HELEXPO in partnership with Froutonea magazine will organise the Freskon FreshConMarket 2024, which will be held on 11 and 12 April and will bring together fresh fruit and vegetable industry professionals with buyers of leading European supermarket chains.

Freskon is a reference point in the sector, as it is the largest meeting of producers and international retail groups, as well as of domestic and foreign fruit and vegetable distributors in south-east

Europe, and it aims to highlight Greek production, stimulate trade and exports, and strengthen its openness in general.

Stand-out participations this year include cooperatives, producers, fruit and vegetable wholesalers, importers/exporters, retailers, Greek and foreign supermarket chains, logistics companies, consulting companies, and certification companies. In addition, six Regions and their local products will be represented.

The well-established Freskon Congress will be held on April 11 in the context of the side event programme. This year’s Congress is dedicated to the productive and commercial world of apricots and will bring together expert speakers from Greece and abroad, covering the current issues concerning apricots, such as: varieties, diseases, cultivation practices, preservation, packaging, and consumer behaviours.

On April 13, Freskon will also host a kiwifruit forum, with the participation of experts from major European kiwifruit-producing countries, such as Italy and Greece.

Alongside Freskon a new exhibition on logistics and transport will be held at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre, the LOGISTICS & TRANSPORTS THESSALONIKI EXPO, organised by O.MIND CREATIVES, in the framework of mutual cooperation with TIF-HELEXPO.
